Credit Union of Southern California (CU SoCal - $1.4 Billion in assets) located in Anaheim Hills, California has just announced their search for a Chief Information Officer (CIO). This fast growing and dynamic credit union cares about their team members and about changing lives. The new CIO will be a passionate and strategic business leader with a strong technical acumen. The successful incumbent will be integral to building on an already solid infrastructure to support the credit union’s exponential growth and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the CEO, the CIO will lead a team of 18 IT professionals and will be responsible for developing and executing the credit union’s technology strategy. The individual must be exceptionally adept at mentoring and developing the professional skills of the IT team. Building an environment that supports expanded product and delivery solutions while balancing internal efficiency will be expected. The CIO will lead the effort to enhance process discipline and rigor, communication, business unit collaboration, measurement and accountability. A strong understanding of typical system platform, products, services and regulations associated with the financial industry is essential. Demonstrated leadership of a team within a dynamic institution is a requirement with strong preference for experience within a credit union or bank. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals and objectives within a fast-paced environment is also required. Experience with the credit union’s core processing system, Episys, is preferred. A bachelor degree or equivalent experience with advanced training in information systems and technology is required.
